The locality of Belvedere, in Colle Val D’Elsa ('la città del cristallo' - 'Home of lead-glass crystal'), is home to “Franco Cucini Moleria”, a small artisan workshop where Franco and Riccardo Cucini create artistic engravings on items made of crystal and glass.

Engraving and grinding are techniques that Franco Cucini has learned and perfected during his long working career: over 40 years of experience, gained initially in various companies throughout the area and then furthered in his own business from 1982.

Franco Cucini is aided in his work by his son Riccardo, to whom he has transferred his experience and skill in the production of increasingly particular “Forme sul Cristallo” (Shapes on Crystal), and together they create valuable articles in crystal and glass: tableware, furnishing items and fancy goods in general. The “Franco Cucini Moleria” workshop is renowned for the creation of one-off and custom-made items, but is also specialised in restoring and repairing any item made of glass or crystal with small breakages and chips. Other productions of equal importance include glasses, goblets, tasting sets and complete services: water, wine, flutes, whisky sets, vases and a variety of other items.
